Hi, have a 2001 Jeep and install a Viper 5901 with a Xpresskit XK09 bypass module. The problem is cutting the third wire at the Sentry Key module as on the XK09 module on the black connector. Problem is I have no third wire, it's a blank space on the plug. Does anyone knows exactly what color is the wire at the Sentry Key module to cut  to connect the XK09? Any inputs is deeply appreciated!

Assuming a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee...

Depends on which side you start counting from..

You are looking for the Black, 6 Pin, SKIM connector.  Pin 3 should be Blue/White.  For reference Pin 5 should be either be Yellow/Purple or Yellow/Black, depending on whether the vehicle has the factory alarm.

Here is a diagram from Fortin for installing their EVO-ALL : https://ifar.ca/en/download/3098/preview.html  Install Type 15 on page 21 is for your Jeep and has a diagram of the connector.  The wire is labeled "Ignition".

Thank you much for the infos. Problem is I don't have that color wire on the black skim connector and blank on pin 3, no wire there at all.

Interesting.  posted_image   While I have never seen one, there are some Jeeps without the immobilizer.

What color plastic head do you have on your ignition key?  Gray or Black?  Gray is Senrty Immobilizer, Black is no immobilizer.  If it's the Black key, get a plain replacement key made at the local hardware store for $1.99 and try it out.

I installed a Clifford alarm/remote starter with XK09 on a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I think it was a 2001, but I cant remember. I had the same problem. I tried remote starting the vehicle without hooking up the wire that is suppose to go to the 3rd wire on the plug. The vehicle started. But after a few mins and a few attempts, the vehicle wouldnt start after that. Im not sure if it is a tach a problem or not hooking up that wire on the XK09. I need to look into it further. Try to remote start it without hooking up the wire. Let me know what happens.

Thanks, It wouldn't start. I can hear the Viper 5901 clicking, that's about it.
