Was hoping for suggestions for bypass systems and remote start systems (that I don’t have to give up a key for, hopefully) for the following 2 vehicles.

2006 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer

2010 VW Jetta TDI

I have looked at idatalink.com and Xpresskit.com, Both have multiple options available. Is one better than the other? Also with the multitude of remote start systems out there, which of these will link with the bypass system I choose the best? The more streamlined the install the better.

Thanks for the help.

My favorite for the Ford is the DEI 1100F.  It has been discontinued for a while but it works flawlessly.  Easy to program and very reliable.  Available online for around $25.

As for remote starter compatability, I always go W2W, so it will work with any brand / model.  Its only 3 wires to connect vs the D2D harness.

I agree do about doing w2w for the install, but I would go with idatalink. Im not a fan of DEI's bypasses.

X 2 with thecoolmankyle7 and the iDatalink bypass modules.  They are outstanding.  The good news about the
DEI 1100F module is that it is really a re-badged iDatalink product.  Here is a link to the install guide :
https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=696  Think of it as a ADS TB loaded with the ADS TB FM firmware
that can only run in Standard ( W2W ) mode.  Should handle most any Ford other than the new 80 Bit systems.
