2011 Dodge Ram. Only has factory keyless entry, no alarm functions. Owner wants to add on alarm without adding a remote/losing the factory key.
Spoke with Dodge, they have upgrade module available.
I would like to find an option other than using a DEI 727.
Any suggestions?

Many options, but the best bet is the Pursuit PRO9233N. It will arm and disarm from a factory remote, gives shock, door and trunk triggers, starter kill. Automate has the 3001A but we have been having big issues with the internal shock not working correctly. The PRO9233N has been on the market for decades with little change in product as it is bullet proof....
