Hello all im new to 12v. the best site i have ever been on, and its saving me about 500 bucks on an install. but on to the subject at hand, i need a hand on what a relay diagram that came with the alarm is telling me to do to hook up the lock/unlock function. i have have read the realy diagrams but did not run into any thing that could help me. any im input would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance. oh yes i have positive door triggers
also need help on what to hook these wires up to which is a 16-pin harness
Pin 6 YELLOW : Factory Rearm (-), this wire will pulse negative upon remote start shut down
Pin 4 GREEN: Negative Door Input (-), Connect to the door switch circuit wire that shows ground when the
door is open.
Pin 5 VIOLET: Positive Door Input (+), Connect to the door switch circuit wire that shows +12V when the
door is open. This type of door circuit is usually found on Ford vehicles.

one more thing from the 6-pin harness is two 12v battery inputs whats the best way to handle that?
Pin 1 RED - A: Main Power Input A (+). Connect to the battery or constant power wire at the ignition switch
with a minimum 30 Amp supply. Remove the fuse until the installation is complete and all wiring is
checked.
Pin 2 RED - B: Main Power Input B (+). Connect to the battery or constant power wire at the ignition switch
with a minimum 30 Amp supply. Note: if connecting at the ignition switch it is highly recommended
to use separate power wires for each Red wire, each with a minimum 30A supply. Remove the fuse
until the installation is completed and all wiring is checked.

Does the vehicle have the Factory Alarm? If no, then you will not need to connect Pin 6 Yellow.
According to DEI the vehicle has (-) Door Triggers.
Door Trigger Dark Blue or White (-) in drivers door harness
Locate this wire and connect to Pin 4 Green. Pin 5 Violet would not be used.
The vehicle does have Type A (+) door locks. Your Scytek system only supplies (-) lock outputs. That will
require relays to convert the signal to (+). See Page 25 of the install guide for relay wiring.
Check and test your ignition harness with a Digital Multi Meter. The +12V constant is listed as a Red wire.
Sometimes there is more than one +12V constant wire. If there is only one Red +12v constant, if the gauge
is large enough, you can connect both Scytek power wires to it, otherwise go directly to the battery.
Additionally, Bulldog lists some 94-95 Eighty-Eights as having the VATS immobilizer system. If you vehicle
has it, you would need some type of bypass module to allow a remote start. As you are finding out, the reason the Install Shops charge so much is because of all the experience, knowledge, training and background they possess. Read the install guide, search this site for answers, and practice soldering.

thank you very much kreg. yes it does have a vats system. but i already made a homemade resistor pack to simulate th key-in-ignition state so i will not need. i have a background in electronics/telecommunications so all this is coming together fair for me. but this alarm/rs is a new animal as i am used to working on very small electronics. i have yet to start the install. im just gathering all the info i need to complete the install so all can go well and i can have a clean professional job. i plan on spending 6-8 hrs basically the whole day.

Yes, six hours is a good plan. First couple usually take that long, start to finish, with no snags. Older cars
can be a pain with their brittle plastic and rusty screws.
Being neat is important. There will be wires that aren't used and the rest need to be run properly and cut to
length. Use plenty of tie wraps. Solder everything and insulate with a quality electric tape.
Print out and compare as many wiring guides as you can find. There will be differences. Each vehicle model has
its' own wiring needs and each remote start unit has its' limitations with strapping and programming options.
Match the vehicles needs to the Scyteks outputs and programming options. Alway use a DMM to locate and verify
all wires. Some install guides have sections on how to set the DMM and test the suspect wire depending on its'
function.
There appears to be some conflicts in the Scytek guide. In one section it says Pin 6 Yellow Factory Rearm and
in the Programming section on Option 28, Page 23, calls the Factory Rearm Output a Pink wire. It also labels the
Factory Rearm output Pink in the brain harness diagram, Page 29.
I don't use Scytek units, and can't help too much. A call to their Tech Support might be in order.
