Okay so I installed an alarm on my car and it has the domelight supervision on but when I leave the domelight on the "Door" setting it catches short/small electric spikes and it sets my alarm off. Is there a diode or something I can use to prevent this from happening and keep the domelight supervision option ? Thanks..

someone suggested a 1k or 4.7k resistor will one of these work?

Along the lines of what Kevin asked, do these spikes occur at the same time intervals, say 30 to 45 minute gaps? If yes refer to DEI tech 1076 in the downloads section on this site, but to confirm the problem, again make and model please.

Part of your problem could be from going to the dome light rather than individual door triggers, going to the triggers would avoid having to use dome light supervision and its inherent disadvantages.

WEll i have it connected to the door trigger and that also turns on the dome. I have read that Zener Diode can fix this. but im unsure of the size I need. I am using a 12 LED dome light. I have a 1992 Civic.

Check your door triggers, test the LED by just shutting the door and seeing if the light comes on when you rock the car or push on any of the doors. The LED bulb shouldn't be the problem. Actually the other fix and you were on the right track is a 10k from the door trigger wire to the 12V power line of the alarm.
This car should have no problems apart from its age leading to door trigger problems.
Can I assume there are no other sensors such as hood, hatch, tilt, etc. on this circuit.
What alarm?

Yesterday I took out the LED dome light and it hasnt gone off since. SO i guess ill get a 10k resistor but do i put it between the wire from the brain and the door trigger? Just wanna make sure I read that right..
The alarm is by a company called Bicron somewhere in California. the model is VCS-6000. Mine didnt come with instructions so I went to their site and got them. I emailed them about my problem and all they told was to check my connections.

Between the fused power feed and the door trigger wire.
