It seems many people error on the side of caution with this and use a relay with the status output (H2/10) from the Viper (5902) to toggle the clutch wire.

With my car 06 Acura TL the clutch is NO and grounds when presses. Does the status out (200mah) wire really need a relay or can this just be diode isolated like this picture I made???

I'd like to keep this clean and avoid unnecessary relays if possible.

Also is diode direct is correct?   It should pass a neg signal from the viper to the clutch wire but not receive any feedback from the clutch wire under normal operation correct?   I understood relays for positive voltage until recently dealing with neg voltage (I know the role is reverses) but I find myself often confused and often questioning other diagrams (their knowledge of diodes) I see because the diode orientations seem setup based on + voltage protection protection when dealing with negative signals.

Why not use H2/13 directly, as long as it's not used for anything else.  I've done it that way with Compustars and their (-) 200mA Starter Output on Civics.

Soldering is fun!

I could do that I will have to add it back to the molex I had unclipped it. If I can run it directing and avoid a relay I'll hook it back up. Thanks!
