Hey everyone i need some help with my Clifford Intellivoice IQ alarm on my 89 Mustang GT 5.0 convertible.
I managed to get the alarm 75% installed and got some functions to work but not all! My alarm is the talking alarm and it is supposed to verbally warn people 2-3 times to get away or else it will blast its siren. Here is whats wrong!

1. the system will only verbally warn me 100000 times and never blast the siren!

2. while the alarm is active, i can open my door and the alarm does not go off! i just keep getting verbal warnings!

3. my starter kill doesnt work! the alarm is on and i can still start my car!

4. my parking lights do not flash when the alarm is armed/de-armed.

5. my valet switch is not functioning (unless its my imagination)

6. my door trigger doesnt function, possibly confused with wiring! How do i tell if i have positive or negative trigger?

I have NO immobilizer installed with this alarm so i dont have to worry about tapping the ignition.
I installed all the wires correctly and tested them with my tester and everything checked out. I cut my starter wire and tried to start the car and it didnt crank so i did cut the correct one! I rigged it correctly and the car started fine.

Here is the quick link to the guide i used:
https://www.clifford.com/guides/wiring/intellivoice_iq_wiring.pdf

I connected everything but the power lock/unlock wires. I need to sort that out before i do it!

I didnt connect the following wires on the diagram:
-Yellow (siren -) [for additional siren]
-Any power lock/unlock wire (for now)
-BROWN / Red (interior light supply + or -) [side note says "connect to ground for negative trigger pin switches, or +12V for positive trigger pin switches"]
-Any immobilizer wire
-Gray/Blue (ch. 4 out -)
-Gray/Violet (chan. 2 out -)
-Trunk and hood wires (no switches)
-ORANGE / White (sensor 2 input-)

I hope this information is detailed enough!

I think that  the BROWN / red wire has to be hooked up first, this is like the common wire if I am correct. That wire would be necessary for the alarm to work correctly

It depends on how your pin switches and triggers are in the car. If they are - switching then you ground this wire, if they are positive switching then put that wire to a positive source.
