Hi. I have just installed a Prestige XRO9100 in a 2001 nissan pathfinder. Neither of the two remotes were programmed nor will they program following steps in book. Turn ignition on hit valet 3 times, and hold lock button on transmitter. Not sure what else to do besides contact audiovox for help. If anyone has any ideas that would be so helpful.
thanks , Brandon

The Audiovox XRO9100 needs +12V on both the fused RED / White wire and the Ignition 1 (blue) wire, and a good Ground to enter program mode, as well as a good connection to the programming switch. If the system is installed properly, the XRO9100 should honk the horn once, blink the LED, and flash the parking lights when you enter program mode.
Turn the vehicle Ignition to "on", Press Valet 3 times; Do you get the horn/LED/parking lights indication?
If you don't, you are not entering program mode. Verify that the fused RED / White wire has a constant +12V on the XRO9100 side of the fuse, Blue Ignition 1 wire has +12V on it when the vehicle ignition is "on", and verify that you have a good ground. Also confirm that the programming switch is good (i.e., that there is continuity when you press the switch), there are no bent pins on the XRO9100 blue switch connector and the switch plug is pressed in to the unit connector all the way.
If you do get the horn/LED/parking lights indication, the unit is entering program mode. Now press and hold the lock button on the remote, you should get a honk confirming it is programmed. If not, verify that there are no bent pins on either the XRO9100 or antenna connectors, the antenna is fully plugged in at both the unit and the antenna, and that the antenna cable is not pinched somewhere due to the routing of the cable.
Once in program mode, if the unit does not see any transmitter activity for 15 seconds, it will exit the programming mode, and you will get a long honk from the horn, indicating the mode has exited.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. I checked for proper ground,12 v in both of the power wires and blue ignitions show 12v in on position. The antenna wire is plugged in and all wires on antenna show continiuity. It goes into programming mode but then kicks it out. I finally gave up and sent the remotes back to audiovox
