remote start, cel on no code?

I installed an autopage remote start in my 1999 dodge ram 1500 a few days ago. Everything went smooth got it all in and it works. But when i start the truck with the remote start my check engine light comes on. I go to have the code read and there isnt any code.

Now according to all the wiring charts ive found they all list 2 ignition wires and 1 acc wire. But on a thread i read someone mentioned 2 acc wires.

here is how i have it wired up

autopage truck
-------   -----
purple    tied into      yellow        starter
yellow    tied into      blue           ignition
pink      tied into      BLACK/ white    ignition 2? or acc 2?
brown     tied into      BLACK/ orange   acc
red       tied into      red            +12v

All those are on the 6 pin wire harness.

On the 10 pin wire harness there is a wire for acc 2 which is blue/black.
This wire provides a 200mA (-) ground output that becomes active a few seconds after the engine running, and
remains grounded while running
Should i connect the blue/black from the autopage to the BLACK/ white from the truck?

Have you tried using a meter to check to see if the wire they say is second acc is actually a second acc wire.  If it is, you should try connecting it as well to see if the light then does not light.

Simple answer, connect ALL the wires that test as ignition, acc etc.
Wish I had $10 for every time this question has come up.

they are all connected. But would it make a difference if i had an acc wire connected as an ignition wire

During the crank cycle acc wires are not powered. Ign wires are powered during crank. If you have an ignition wire connected as acc, this could be a problem. If you stated your situation properly, I doubt it could be your problem.

Alright i tested that BLACK/ white wire and it is an acc 2 wire. i wired it up to my acc feed from the remote start and the cel did not come on.

Now my question is on the remote starter there is only one feed for an acc wire. So how would i wire up a relay to power both acc wires on the truck from the one acc feed from the remote start?

use the accy1 wire from remote start to accy1 wire in car.

30.-out to blk/white accy 2 wire
85.-bl/blk accy 2 out from remote start
