Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and i got a few questions if you could help me out. I was thinking of purchasing a remote start for my 99 Auto Accord ex v6. I already have a clifford intelliguard 6000 in there and I was told it was fairly simple to attach the Intellistart module. Though I've never installed alarms or remote starts before. I've only installed head units. How would I go about installing the remote start? Is there a step by step guide available? I'd really like to save a couple of hundred bucks by doing the install myself and buying the module for cheap off ebay. Thanks a lot guys

The system comes with a GUIDE to help you install the system. "Simple" maybe only after you've done a few.
Anyways, go ahead and get the system, read the installation instructions and get a good vehicle specific
wiring guide, then come back here and ask what you need help and understanding with.
If ya can't find a good GUIDE for your specific vehicle Email me and I'll send ya one.

Here is the wiring diagram for the 1999 Accord. The vehicle may also have the Immobilizer chip in it. You will have to bypass this in order for the remote start to work properly. IT's quite simple with the proper module: | ITEM | WIRE COLOR |POL| WIRE LOCATION | | 12V|white |+ |ignition harness | | STARTER|BLACK/ white *1 |+ |ignition harness | | IGNITION|BLACK / YELLOW |+ |ignition harness | | SECOND IGNITION|yellow |+ |ignition harness | | ACCESSORY|WHITE/ black |+ |ignition harness | | POWER LOCK|BLACK/ blue *2 |- |passengers fuse box *3 | | POWER UNLOCK|orange |- |passengers fuse box *3 | | LOCK MOTOR|WHITE/ red | |drivers fuse box | | UNLOCK MOTOR|*4 | |drivers fuse box | | DISARM DEFEAT|lt. Use PKH2 or TBKII modules *1 Must interrupt the wire between the keyswitch and the fusebox, not between the fusebox and the starter, to keep the check engine light from coming on. *2 Use BLACK/ white for lock and GREEN/ red for unlock on LX models without factory security. These wires are located in a two pin gray connector by the front of the drivers side fuse box. *3 in a green 20 pin connector. *4 yellow on the EX and lt. GREEN/ red on the LX *5 located in the same plug as the door lock wires. Also found in a 14 pin green plug at the drivers fuse box on the EX model. *6 Only available on the EX model. *7 In a green 4 pin connector. *8 Above the hood release in a gray 18 pin connector. On the DX & LX models, also found in a 2 pin connector behind the drivers fuse box. *9 Arms and disarms with the door locks on the EX models. The LX models arm only with the factory transmitter. *10 On the EX the wire is located at the drivers power window switch, on the LX the wire is at the keyless/security unit which is attached to the drivers underdash panel. *11 The tach test connector is located behind the battery on the 4 cylinder, and on a bracket attached to the drivers side strut tower on the 6 cylinder motor. The tach test connector is a white 2 pin connector, and may be covered by a black rubber boot. *12 Located at the first plug on the ECM, it is a 32 pin gray plug. The ECM plugs can be accessed by pulling up the carpet on the passenger side of the center console. There are 4 plugs total. *13 On the EX models it is in a green plug next to the passenger side fuse box. On the LX models it is at the keyless/security unit, if equipped, which is attached to the driver side underdash panel. ------------- Jeff

There won't be a step by step for the G4 because all vehicles are different. The wiring diagram I have listed above will show you the required wires that you need to hook up and the G4 wires will have to hook up to the diagram above.

Hi all, New member here also. I too am installing the Clifford Intellistart 4 in my 95 BMW 325i. I presently have the proper tech book with every wire in the car listed but if someone could either post the "neccessary" wiring or email it to me I would greatly appreciate it. I am also installing the Clifford G4 Millennia alarm. This weekend I plan on doing everything and think I will be requesting help on the remote start aspect as well. First question... the main alarm wiring includes hookups for the starter/ignition kill as well does the remote start wiring. The starter/ignition harnesses are identical for the 2 modules (Millennia/intellistart) Do I piggyback the wiring since they seem to connect to the same connections or is there an alternative to save on real estate at the connection points? Second, I believe starting in 1995 BMW began implementing the EWS-II which involves chip in the car key. How do or must I bypass the system to enable the Intellistart to work properly? Is this the same workaround in all cars?

Yes you have to piggyback all wires ( except the ignition or starter kill, then you have to cut the wire ). Ny information tells me that the BMW 3 Series did not come out with a chip intil 1996, so your safe.
