I know it's rude to ask a question on your first post...but I'm stuck. We installed a Crimestopper SP-501 on my 2010 Accord, and the HVAC does not turn on when using the remote start. After I put my key in the ignition it turns on...but before that it's totally blank/dim with no vents or blower going.

Thoughts? Thanks.

Not rude at all.  That's what this forum is all about.

Did you power both of the Accords Accessory wires from the remote starter?

This info from Bulldog Security :
ACCESSORY /HEATER BLOWER 1   ORANGE (+)    @ IGNITION SWITCH, (WHITE,5-Pin Plug) Pin 3
ACCESSORY /HEATER BLOWER 2   RED(+)        @ IGNITION SWITCH, (WHITE,5-Pin Plug) Pin 4

CrimeStopper 6 Pin High Current Connector
Pin 1 Brown to Accord Yellow Starter
Pin 2 Gray to Accord Orange ACC1
Pin 3 Red to Accord White +12V
Pin 4 Red to Accord White +12V
Pin 5 Pink to Accord Blue IGN
Pin 6 Pinl/White to Accord Red ACC2  ***Set Jumper Pin to ACC2

Soldering is fun!

I didn't change any jumpers...have to get back under there tomorrow.

Thank you.

Orange powers up the HVAC, and must get accessory power during remote start.

Red powers the radio and some other non-essential items. I prefer the radio off during remote start, so I don't power the red. But you can power it if you want.

So you'll probably have to take off the steering column cover, and test the associated wires while activating the remote starter to see where you need to fix.

Well after lots of wasted time it turned out the output was dead that the orange was connected to. I agree with the radio not being on when remote started so I just swapped the two and left the red dead. Everything works perfect now. Thanks so much for the help.
