Two questions. 2011 Hyundai Genesis. Where can i get a interface module for the key (not proximity) and can someone help me with a wiring diagram?
Thanks
Thomas
Not sure if you have the coupe or the sedan. Also assuming it's not a Smartkey PTS.
Being as you listed Washington as your location, here is some info from iDatalink concerning a transponder : https://12voltdata.com/viewtopic.php?f=282&t=4654
As for the wiring info, here is a link to DEI info for the sedan : https://www.readyremote.com/main.asp?make=Hyundai&model=Genesis
They also list the coupe.

So i dont need a bypass, thats kind of nuts on a new car. Its the coupe 2.0t with a regular key.

That no immobolizer post was back in 2007. Hyundai says all new hyundais have chipped keys. So my question still stands on where can i get a bypass module
That post was actually from 01/18/2011. Did a 2011 Sonata GLS non-PTS, no transponder. Canadian models have a transponder. But here are some links to bypass modules.

I stand corrected i read the wrong date. If your saying i dont need one ill go off that. If Anyone can just confirm one way or another that would be preferred. Thanks for all your help.
Haven't done a Genesis Coupe but there are a few ways to check. Here is one way.
Look for a Yellow wire at Pin 24 in the Black 39 Pin connector ( EM-51 ) in the passenger Kick Panel. If there is no Yellow wire there, you don't have a transponder. For more detailed diagrams of the wire and it's location, download iDatalink Install Guide #5718 ( for the iDatalink ADS-AL CA bypass flashed with ADS-AL(TB)-HK2 firmware ) and review the Type 7 Wiring Diagram.
Hopefully, some of the forum members that regularly do Hyundai's can add their knowledge.

Oh boy does this confuse me, much more simple here, ALL cars registered after 01/01/97 in Europe had immobilisers.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
