hi guys, i just picked up a 529T units, and i'm trying to wire it up to work with my sunroof, and it seems that i can't get it to operate as intended.

its a 1994 acura legend coupe, here's a wiring diagram for the sunroof

https://i797.photobucket.com/albums/yy251/alprvch/DSCN6455.jpg

I assumed that, its a typeA system, i interfaced the unit btwn the sunroof motor and relays.

but i did try and mock up using the other systems mentioned in the instructions and i couldn't get it to work at all, in any scenario.

any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

You don't need a 529 on that year, simply cut the YELLOW /GREEN from fuse 23 and join it to the GREEN / WHITE, then grounds the yellow red on the close relay via a timed output of about 5 secs from your alarm.
Alternatively, cut the red going to the motor from the close relay, the switch side is the relay and wire in your 529.
Never needed a closer on a Honda of that vintage.

i've been doing some research and i guess this unit isn't what i need.

what i was looking for was to automate the opening and closing of the sunroof, after some reading, it seems this unit doesn't automate. so i'll need a 530t like i used on my windows.

for some reason i thought this unit was to automate as well, just one window, instead of 2 windows like the 530.

this that correct?

Of course it can be made to work both ways, use the grey and grey/black wires to momentary ground then treat the red motor wire as one window up and the yellow as the other.
Grey/black will trigger in one direction, grey the other.
I respectively point out that you are way over your head, it's so simple.

Follow this diagram and this is how you do it using a single 529t.
This will give you one shot open and close.
honda_roof.bmp
Proceed as follows:-
Work around the relays, I'm not sure of their exact position but they should be gold coloured and high up on the driver's kick panel.
Cut the yellow green from fuse 23 and join it and the red 529t power feed to the GREEN / WHITE 12v+ constant coming from fuse 51.
Join the black 529t ground wire to a black at either relay.
Cut the red close wire going to the motor. Relay side to 529 brown and motor side to 529 blue.
Cut the yellow open wire going to the motor. Relay side to 529 white and motor side to 529 green.
Join orange and grey to yellow/red going from relay to switch and ORANGE / black and grey/black to yellow blue from relay to switch.

This will give you one shot open and close from your existing switch and is independent of the ignition, i.e. it will work all the time.
