passenger doors not unlocking

I own a 2010 Toyota Venza. I got a remote start after market alarm installed last year when i bought the car. This year when i disarm the alarm the only door that unlocks is the driver's side door. All of the passenger doors will not unlock with the remote and they will not unlock with the rocker switch on the door. They will lock however. I brought it to a local security installer and they installed a couple of diodes that fixed the problem for a day. Now it is not working again. Anyone have an idea of what I can do?

Also My alarm is an Audiovox Model APS-787N

I brought it back to the security shop. He cut the wires from the alarm to the doors. The keypad from the alarm will not unlock the doors. The keypad that is on the key it the only thing that can unlock the doors. The problem was fixed for a day and again I have the same problem. I have noticed when I remote start the car now none of the doors unlock with the key's keypad only if I insert the key in the door lock and manually unlock it. There must be some sort of conflict with the remote start. Now that the weather is getting colder I will start using the remote start more and more. If anyone has any ideas as to what the problem could be please post.

I've been installing Audiovox for ten years, and the APS787N is a solid unit. And the Venza is a fairly easy car to work on. And at least I've never had to use any diodes to get the doorlocks to work properly.

Sounds like you've got an install shop that either doesn't know what they're doing, or doesn't care about customer satisfaction, or both.

Also, I don't know where you are in New York, but Audiovox is on Long Island. Call 800-225-6074 and talk to their tech support guys...maybe they know someone good in your area.

If it were my car, I'd give the install shop one last chance to do their job and then take other routes. Make an appointment, drop the car with them for the day, and tell them that if the car doesn't work correctly by the time you pick it up, that you'll bring it to the Toyota dealer for repair and come back with the bill....see what they say to that.

Thanks Chris. I will call Audiovox and see what they say. I have a feeling these guys don't know what they are doing when it comes to alarms. They always seem very helpful, and try to help me while I wait.
