i installed a viper remote starter about a year ago and all of a sudden it stopped working checked all wires all seem to be fine tried some reprogramming but to no avail didnt work so i was wondering if anyone had any ideas someone told me to change tach wire to fuel injector wire but i dont know if i can do that.

the car is a 2000 pontaic grand am gt if that helps

3.1l or 3.4l I bet...Either they didnt solder the connection under the hood, and water has gotten in and corroded the connection, or your coil is going bad. Did you take the tape off and look at the point of connection? If it is bad new wire may need to be spliced in, including cutting part of the factory coil wire as well. Not reccomended for a beginner!

i did take tape off and no corrosion can i hook this wire to fuel injector wire?

k if anyone runs into this problem dont chane coil check bypass that was my problem
