im installing a remote starter in a 2010 ford escape and am using the Flash Logic FTLBF.
the remote starter is an audiovox as-9055.
the remote starter works if i place the key in the ignition, so i do know that it is working fine.
the issue that i am having is with the bypass module.
i am using the direct wire mode...
2 green flashes
hold program button until solid green
perform factory reset
then on to programming the keys...
put key 1 in the ignition, turn to on
led goes solid red then turns off
turn the key off and the led comes back on and is solid red
is there something im missing here?
its supposed to be solid red with key 1 then off
solid red with key 2 then off
hit remote start
solid red led then solid green to verify it programmed
hit program button to complete
any ideas on whats going wrong?
maybe i should dig up an old 555u instead of this confusing box >.>

It could be you have the wrong software installed in the FLTBF. New Fords are 80bit and require FM3 software instead of the standard FM. Do you know which you have? ------------- Mike M2

when you hit remote start with the flash logic module connected what is the color/sequence of the led on the module? There is a diagnostics on the last page of the install guide for it.

i cant complete the key code learning with the module, it looks like it takes key # 1 but as soon as i turn the key to the off position so that i can move on to key #2, the LED turns to solid red and doesnt go off

Programming should be..
Key 1 to On.
LED will turn red.
Remove Key 1.
Key 2 to On.
LED will turn red then turn off.
Remove Key 2.
Press programming button one time.
Remote Start Vehicle.
LED will turn solid red then green.
Are you using original keys, not a copys?

Perhaps your sequence is wrong.
You should do a Factory Reset first.
Then select the "Satandard" W2W Mode - two blinks and lock it in.
Then program it to the car with the two factory keys.
( as a final desperate attempt, try swapping the TX & RX connections and starting over. ) ------------- Soldering is fun!

i might try swapping the tx rx leads because i am in the 2nd mode when programming
also, how close to the ign cylinder do you normally solder the leads? im about 6" away from the actual ring... could this affect the module learning correctly?

A good solder connection anywhere along the harness is OK. The wire colors & plug type provided by iDatalink are usually very accurate. Years Pin TX Color Pin RX Color Plug Type Escape 08-11 3 Yellow/Orange 4 Violet/Gray E
