Morning all,

I'm finishing up my alarm install and had a glass break sensor and proximity sensor in my last car. I had wired them up to the mux port using the white connector. I've just purchased a tilt sensor for my car and was wondering if I can add that to the mux connector as well?

Would it draw too much power from it with the three sensors or would it be ok? Also I would need to diode isolate all the trigger wires now so the cathode would face the sensor correct?

With the tilt sensor my plan was to power the sensor via the harness coming off my proximity sensor since they're located right next to each other, by splicing into the (+) and (-) wires, then running the orange trigger wire to the h1/12 ground when armed wire.

They can all go there but diode separate the triggers please, as you thought.
Personally I'm dead set against all these sensors, too many chances of false alarms.
I don't think you can beat a decent prox, or at most shock and prox.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

Thanks for the input Howie! Looking at it now, the sensors I have are starting to get on the basis of overkill, really the shock, tilt and glass breakage seem sufficient , the proximity sensor would really be for someone with a convertible or jeep, which is not my car. Glad I've got this just about wrapped up as it's in the teens and single digits at night now.
