2006 honda civic clutch

I will be installing a Compustar CM6200 into an 06 Civic. From what I've read it is an orange wire at the clutch pedal (will still test of course) but I am just confirming I can take the RED / black second starter wire from the Compustar to that wire to bypass during remote start. Also a lot of people put a diode and some don't. If I do is a 1A good for the job? Thanks in advance!

Pretty straight forward to do.  Connect the CM6200 CN2 Pin 5 RED / Black (-) 250mA Starter Output wire directly to the Orange wire in the Yellow Plug at the clutch pedal.  You must still connect the CM6200 CN1 Yellow Starter Output wire to the Civics Yellow Starter wire at the ignition switch harness.

I did a Compustart in a manual-transmission 2006 Civic....but that was back in 2006, so I don't remember what I did for the clutch wire.

One thing I do remember, though: Make sure you use the individual door pin switch wires (with diodes, of course), to go to the remote starter.

The first time I did it, I used the domelight wire. However, the domelight in the car turns on when the car shuts off (so the owner can see around to pick up his things), and that cancels the Compuster's reservation mode.

Thanks for the replies! So is it necessary to put a diode or is that just a 'to be overly safe' thing.

About the dome light, I'm actually using a fortin evo-all which does everything through the data cable including the door.. That should be ok shouldn't it?

Actually now that I really sit and think about it, I cant use the data cable from the evoall bypass to the compustar brain because it will automatically want to do every possible feature available in those dotted lines even if I do the door pins seperate.  I think I have to not use the full data feature and hook up the power and ground of the bypass and then do the connections from the brain to the bypass and then doing the door pins with the diodes seperate.  Does this make sense?

The CM6200 is two-way data compatible with the EVO-ALL.  Think I would go with the D2D connection and wire it exactly as the install guide diagram.  The EVO-ALL door trigger output should be a true door trigger and not derived from the dome light.  If you have problems with reservation mode, you can always switch over to W2W mode and hardwire / diode the individual door triggers.  ( At that point, the EVO-ALL is expensive over-kill and the PKH34 / hardwire is cheaper and bullet-proof.)
