I am installing a python remote start in my 2004 audi allroad. Every diagram I can find online states there are 2 starter wires, RED / black and a blue one. I don't know where the blue one is, looking directly at the ignition switch there isn't a blue wire, nor more than one that sees 12 in the crank position. Should I be looking elsewhere?

Next issue, I have tried using the tach learning and no luck, switched the jumper and tried again, no luck. I switched to voltage checking and no luck either in high or low setting. Do I have to use a tach wire on this car? Where do I get a signal from, coil?

Anything else I should be aware of on this car?

You can get the tach signal from the odd colored wire at any injector. As for the starter wire, if there is only one at the switch then I'd say you only have one... unless it is a negative 2nd start??? How do you know that the voltage checking is not working? There is no "programming" needed for voltage. You just set the crank time and it will read the voltage to see if it is running or not

The only reason I think its not working is it won't start and gives the error code of 3, it think which is not reading the tach or voltage. I don't know if the crank time is set long enough though, I am going to change that and try again.

As far as the second starter wire, every wire is accounted for, ign 1, 2 12v feeds, accessory, etc. this is right at the ignition switch.

Ok, now everything works except if the doors are locked and using the rs after a few minutes it sets off the factory alarm. Now what? The factory alarm disables by unlocking the doors, there isnt a seperate wire listed that i can use to disarm while in rs mode. What are my options. Is there a way to disable the factory alarm? I dont really need it as the rs has one too and not really worried about it where i live? I have a vag com cable is there away to use that to disable it?

Sorry for all the questions

I will reiterate what I've already posted, first, only ONE starter and two ignition wires, second, this beast is so CAN laden that a I said in your previous thread, don't even attempt to hardwire it, use a CANMAX 400 or similar.
And don't remove the glove box.

Doesn't your system have a factory disarm wire, that should work, it work worked on my 04 A6 & 5902. It unlocks the doors for a second - remote start activates - doors lock back.

Yes me too! Managed to find the secondary lock system (the switch in the door panel) but then found the primary lock and window close but not the unlock! Neither at the driver kick or at the back at the factory alarm, bloody nightmare.

I have it sorted. I don't remember the wire colors now, but I used the disarm wire of the rs to unlock the doors upon rs activition (used a diode to isolate) and then another wire to relock the doors when started. It works great except there is a 2 second or so period the car is unlocked. Not really an issue where I live though.

Besides this issue and the need to cut the factory ring wires on the key switch, this was one of the easiest cars I have done. Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself.

Thanks for all your help!
