Working on the installation of a Viper 5301 with Xpressskit PKALL in a Toyota Tacoma 2011 (Auto Trans).  Everything seems to function properly with the exception of the remote start actually cranking the engine.  Interior dash and accessories come online but no indication that the engine is attempting to turnover.  Followed the installation manual's basic troubleshooting steps and I am receiving 12V on the violet (H3/4) cable.  Any suggestions?

Any Viper error flash codes?  Try doing the Shutdown Diagnostics.

Did you follow this PKALL install guide ?  https://www.xpresskit.com/DocumentDownload.aspx?documentid=7017&productid=196&firmwareid=0

Did the PKALL program properly?

Thanks for your reply:

After running the shutdown diagnostics, I am recieving 9 flashes (Low battery (voltage mode).  How do you correct it?

Regarding the PKALL installation guide, yes, I did use that version.  The Data 1 and Data 2 are running to the ECM, the Blue/White is running to the H2/10 [(-) 200mA STATUS OUPUT of the 5301], and the D2D runs between the 5301 and PKALL.

Concerning the programming of the PKALL, I followed the instruction in the installation guide and recieved multiple flashes aftering manually starting the ignition.  Are there any additional steps?

Did you connect the Viper Tach wire to a good tach source?  ( Check for a tach signal at OBD2, Pin 9, Black wire? )Did you program the Viper to Tach Mode?  Menu 3, Item 2, Opt 4      Then perform the Tach Learn process.

I would double check your ignition wires, if is not even cranking then usually ignition and or starter wires are wrong. There are two ignitioni wires and two starter wires in the tacoma. If they are not all hooked up you will not get it to crank.

Verified the connection to the Pin 9 BLACK/ White cable and repeated the programming and learn process; still no luck with remote start but I am now recieving 3 flashes after performing the shutdown diagnostics.

Could you post the wiring connections from the viper wires to what wires on the vehicle. This would help us visualize what has been done/connected.

Made further progress last night by inserting a relay in the path of Starter 2. The system is atleast attempting to crank now but it is not making it through the complete startup process.  If I put the key in the "Off" position and hit the remote start button, the vehicle will start but immediatly dies.  If I put the key in the "On" position and hit the remote start button, the vehicle will complete the startup process.  Anyways, here is the current wiring scheme; aside from the startup issue, please let me know if you see anything else incorrect:

I think I just realized where the problem might lie.  For whatever reason, I confused Connector 3 with Connector 1 in the first diagram of the Xpresskit installation guide and ignored the blue/white relay configuration details because I am using a D2D.  After looking at it in greater detail, it looks like I need to integrate the Connector 3 wiring harness.

That was the problem; ran the wires for Connector 3 and now remote start works great. Thanks for your support.

Hi i'm having some trouble with my installation on a 2006 lincoln town car. I know that the 4-pin connector with blue, green, black and red wires is the D2D on the PKALL module. But what is the D@D port on the Viper 5301?

Look at your instruction/install sheet for the 5301 it shows you where the port is.
