I've got a 2004 Honda Pilot EX-L that I've owned for three years. I am now adding a Compustar Pro RF-P2W901-SS with 2 way remote. I'll bet many Hondas/Acuras in that year also use the same factory alarm also.

This alarm is no problem thus far. I've soldered all my alarm wires to the proper vehicle wires, and have soldered those wires to the brain harness. I have not hooked up main power yet. I have not tied any Compustar wiring to the factory alarm.............yet.

But it is the factory alarm that might prove to be troublesome. Sometimes, the factory alarm arms itself on its own. It doesn't matter if my doors are open or closed. Today, it happened several times. I plan to run the disarm output from the Compustar to the factory alarm blue wire behind the glove box.

So does this plan work? OR is there a way to completely disable or even remove the factory alarm module without disrupting other vehicle functions?

not sure about grabbing it behind the glove box. It should be grabbed at the drivers door key cylinder inside the door. If you grab it there it should integrate just fine and disarm the factory system any time you disarm the Compustar system.

Never heard of blue behind the glovebox. Should be blue at the drivers key cylinder.. You can also get it in the passenger fusebox(BLACK/ red) but this wire will also unlock...
