Hey I had a ProStart 3300 remote car starter installed in my car a number of years ago. It worked great, just recently lost the keys for it so I took the key from the bypass module.

I got a new key cut placed the old one back into the bypass module and it does not work anymore

When I try to reprogram it I'm not having any luck, when I try to "Flashing the hood pin" I'm not getting my parking lights to come on...

I've tried both flashing the hood pin and I've tried just using the PAB button "Programming Assistance Button" I can't get the car to enter program mode

The red light on the module is flashing constantly also

Is the starter not functioning at all or not strting because of bypass?

Try grounding grey wire inside car, see if programs.

If not unplug brain, reset and reprogram.

The Starter is not working at all, this gray wire is the one that connected to the hood switch right?

I do have a new hood switch I'll try that also.

what car is it what make. key in the box u dont need any programming for the bypass madual.

the car is a 2000 Mercury Cougar, Yes I do have a key in the box..

I still have not had the time to try the new hood switch or gounding the gray wire...

ok

now u will have to go under the dash to find the starter box and u will find plug with 5 wires  connect the black with grey and u should see the park light on and  the unit will be in program mode.after pushing the PAB
