I am installing an Avital 4103 remote start in a 2005 gmc sierra 2500hd truck. It is extended cab with factory "security system". Teh parts store where I purchased it said I needed a 451M relay kit for the door locks and a PLJX for the passlock 2. I have it installed except for the door lock feature.
Here are my questions:
How do I go about hooking into the door locks correctly?
When I activate the remote starter, the security light comes on on the dash. I assume I need to hookup the alarm disarm and/or the alarm arm signal wires.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The directed website seems to only cater to registered installers.
I need to do 4 more identical fleet vehicles.

IMO, there are better options for bypassing the Passlock II in that truck...which also make door lock/alarm interfacing a breeze too. The Idata ADS-AL CA is my preferred bypass for that truck but the Xpresskit GMDL-BP is cheaper. They do bypass, alarm integration, door locks and more with one wire to the OBDII connector.
If the trucks are 'base model' trucks the door locks are simple to integrate. At the BCM, in the blue plug, white (pin B10) negative pulse to unlock, light blue (pin B5) to lock. However, if the trucks are not base models, you are better off buying different bypass modules. If you don't want to buy different bypass modules, you have to go into the driver's door to interface with the front door locks and to the bcm for the rear doors.
Re-learning the bypass may fix your security light issue. Does it reset when you start with the key?
I would really suggest picking up different bypass modules for them. Makes that truck a piece of cake.

I see what you mean. I don't like the idea of using the 451M to in effect circumvent the existing wiring. In addition, I don't like making modifications to wiring inside a door panel, especially with the module being involved.
That being said, this is where I am at:
The security light was completely my fault. I forgot to switch the jumper to passlock 2.
As far as the door locks, I should have a DLPKGM brought down tomorrow morning. A dei installer about 30 miles north said it would do the trick. I have been looking over the xpresskit instructions for it and have a few, hopefully easy questions:
violet/white tach output - I assume this is not needed, since I have tach input going directly to RS
white - parking light (-) output - going W2W it shows to connect this to RS......will the parking lites be activated through the OBD2 then?
I assume the door trigger is onl;y for alarm install and trunk and driver2 are are also unused

The DLPKGM is a different version of the bypasses I recommended. Much easier to use than the one you have. You are correct, on the first truck you don't need to use the tach out from the bypass because you already have it connected to the truck. You are also correct on the parking light connection and door trigger too. On the next 4 trucks I would use the bypass wiring...again it makes the installation a lot easier.
