i installed a avital two way remote with security in a 2010 ford explorer when i remote start the truck with the doors locked the alarm will go off if i start it with doors unlocked no problem,also the remote doesn't have any range maybe 50 feet

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated    thanks

you will need to do 1 of 2 options

1) set your unit to unlock-start-relock. this disables factory alarm prior to starting to prevent faults.

2) open up the driver running board, look for YELLOW /GREEN(-) PURPLE / green(-) and diode isolate the 2. run a wire to your disarm. test with keypad.

also, it should disarm with igniton and valid transponder.
if your range sucks, check ground.

Also where is your antenna mounted, also if screen mounted does this vehicle have a tint or a heated front screen?
