Hey all

Im planning to install a remote start (Viper 5301) on a 2005 trailblazer this weekend.  I'll be using the DB-ALL from DEI in D2D mode.

I'm looking at the install guide for that on xpresskit.com

I'm wondering if I have to use TX and RX wires?  The install diagram kind of shows i but doesn't say where those wires are in the truck.  Besides that, it looks like the DB-All only needs 12v + and - along with the OBD connection.  Is that all I need?  I know I still need to hook up the heavy gauge wires on the remote start, but not sure about the others.  Any input or tips would be appreciated.

Everything is handled by the OBD2 connection and the D2D harness.  The 4 Pin connector shown with RX and TX is the D2D connector to the Viper.
Your Trailblazer is Passlock2 ( no transponder ).

Just make sure the DB-ALL is "Flashed" with the correct firmware ( 401.GM1 v1.04 ).

The Viper will still need to be connected to the ignition wires, Chassis Ground, Parking Light, Brake, Horn ( optional ), and Hood Pin.
