Hi!

I've installed an aftermarket car alarm on my stang!

But I have a question. With the original remote control, when I unlock the doors, the overhead light turns on, and when I lock the doors in 2 or 3 seconds the overhead light comes off.

When I use the alarm remote control, when I unlock the doors, no lights come on! It's turn on only when I open the doors! And when I lock the doors, the overhead light turn off in 20 second.. why?

PS: My stang doesn't have the oem car alarm.

You need something on the alarm called dome light (over heads) supervision. US alarms have this, the Italian POS alarms, Cobra, Meta, etc. don't have this facility.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.

Thanks!

Unfortunately my alarm doesn't have the dome light supervision. What can I do?

Velleman do a dome/courtesy (are the correct terms) light delay kit, link it to your alarm's unlock and or door trigger.
