I have an 04 tahoe at my house right now for a remote start install. I picked up a DB=All and the XKloader2 updater. I'm having trouble loading the XpressVIP software. It seems to install fine but then it fails as soon as I try to open it. I really need some quick help. I'm running Windows 7.

Ok, well crisis temporarily averted, I downloaded XpressVIP3 for now and was able to at least flash the module.
But I would still like to get the 4.2 working if anyone can still help.

Make sure all other versions are uninstalled... Then in the troubleshooting section for 4.2 check to make sure all your setting are correct...

I went through the troubleshooting guide regarding the programs list and I was missing some of the microsoft.net stuff.... but I have the microsoft.net version 4 (not the 3.5 or 2 that it says in the guide). Then in regards to the device manager check, the SI labs is there, but it is not showing the XK Loader device as being plugged in... but my computer is recognizing the connection??? And its obviously working because VIP 3.0 was able to work...
