'11 hyundai sonata se, prox key rem start

I am hoping someone can help me with an issue I have with my car and the remote start system I put on. I have a 2011 Hyundai Sonata SE (push button start). I have installed a Python 1501 Remote Start kit, and a Fortin EVO-all bypass module. I have the 1501 set up so I can remote start the car using a double pulse of the lock circuit. I did this in an attempt to only need to carry the factory proximity key, and not need the FOB that came in the 1501 kit. I can get the car to start fine with this method, but the car puts the proximity key "to sleep" when the car is running. To get into the car, I need to use the unlock function of the FOB from the 1501 kit, or use my key to unlock the door, if I use the key, the car dies when I open the door. Both of those options negate what I am attempting to do.

I think, if I kill power to the radio and accessory circuit while the remote start is running, that will do what I need it do. On the 2012's that have bluelink, the radio does not power on while under remote start, and the prox key works. I have a basic idea that a relay needs to be added to prevent a wire from getting power, but I do not know how to figure out what wire that is.

I have the full PDF wire manual for the car if someone will look though it and help me figure this out.

You will have to use the Python remote,to bypass this issue,when you use the key to open the door, the car dies because of the alarm.

I don't know enough about the new hyundai's, but how many accessory wires did you connect at the column? Chances are the heater circuit and radio circuit are both powered off of 1 accessory... so just disconnecting that accessory line off the r/s will not allow your heat to function.

Looking at the Fortin site, it seems like the car should do an automatic take-over once it senses the key... which means that the PTS system would have to be able to sense the key. Are you sure you have the correct firmware loaded on the Evo-ALL? (SHould be hardware 2; Firmware 2.00)

This is the latest revision of the install diagram. It was revises on 11/10/2011 so its possible that you may have an older hardware or firmware version of the evo-all.

Edit: Looking further into the install diagram, it looks like an unlock signal from the remote start is required before entering the vehicle in order for the take-over to take place. It doesn't sound like you will be able to do what you originally wanted.
