2011 ford focus using a TBXKEY, key in the box, it doesn't work after a overnight cold start, below 32 degrees after 14 hours. anyone have any idea why or a better bypass for the focus

use a data bypass and save the key.

ADS-AL CA by idatalink
EVO-ALL by Fortin Electronics

both are very reliable pieces. i have used both on the 2011 focus with no problems.

X 2 with Ted.  A Data type bypass is more reliable than RF.  Fortins'  EVO-Ride is another Data type bypass choice.

You could also try re-positioning the antenna loop on the ignition switch and / or going to the "60 Windings" jumper position in the TBXKey box.

Soldering is fun!

still nothing with changing the position of the loop on the ignition and changing the windings jumper. just went with the EVO-RIDE. funny as soon as the key hit 38 degrees inside the box it would just stop working
thanks jeff
