I have an Autopage C3-RS-665 installed in a 1991 Ford Bronco. The alarm and remote start work fine. Although once the truck starts, the blinker relay opens and closes. This also causes the heat/ac to turn on and off at same time. Why would the installer use the blinker relay? If I take the relay out, the heat/ac will not turn on. Did they use the brown(acc) wire to the blinker relay? Shop has closed down for yrs now, I'm on my own, thanks.

Shop been closed for yrs and you just notice this know.
It could be the wire that sends power to parking lights. And might be programmed as flash and not on at all times. Some units have that option as to know if the car is on by parking lights being on, In your case there probable programmed to flash.

The shop was open for years before I had it installed. It closed shortly after. I was in the military anyways, wasn't home often to get much done. I thought it might be for my lights flashing as well. If I take the relay out, the lights still stay on. I would imagine they wouldn't flash though. I do hear the relay opening and closing when I arm and disarm as well. I am wondering if they wired the acc wire to the relay as well. I didn't think the brown wire needed a relay.

I looked at the wiring. The brown(acc) wire is cut by the alarm brain. It has always been that way. I remote start the truck and remove the blinker relay, heat/ac totally goes off. If i arm/disarm alarm, the lights still flash with the blinker relay removed. It seems the only reason the flasher would be used is for 12volts after start position. Only problem, it only gets 12 volts when the the flasher opens and closes every second or so. Makes no sense to me why its in the circuit at all. I can see a gray and yellow wire way up by the ignition harness, that is suppose to be the Ford Bronco acc wire for 12+, even if was hooked up, the flasher would still be energized.
