prostart remote toyota corolla 06

So I have a toyota corolla 2006 trying to attach to a Prostart CT-3471TW. I have a Expresskit PKALL also. This is my wiring for the 2006.

I have attached 12v, ignition 1 and 2, accessory, keysense, (-) parking light, door lock/unlock. When I attach the 12v I hear the Prostart CT-3471TW click 4 times. The antenna when the car is not started blinks rapidly. There is no parking light indication that shows me anything when I try to flash the hood pin. I should also note I did not connect the hood pin nor the tach wire. I attached the hood pin so I can manually click it in the car.

The wires I didn't connect are the (+) parking light, tach wire, hood pin (sorta), dome light wire/external switch.

Is there a wire I need to connect that I didn't? I didn't connect the tach wire because I couldn't find it and I read you don't really need it. I also can't find the door pin trigger wire in front of the fuse box either. Anyone know what I can do/missed?

It helps to tell us what the actual problem is. Is it just not starting? Are the door locks working?

Sorry. Nothing happens when I press anything. The parking lights don't flash when I push the hood pin in. I just see the antenna lights blink rapidly.

I've also tried to use the button the unit but still nothing. Do you think I hooked up the parking light wrong? Do I need a relay?

Do I need the tach wire, door trigger/dome light hooked up?

The tach wire is always a good idea, but its not required. Even the parking light wire is not required. Did you program the unit? Also, not really sure what you are trying to accomplish by pressing the hood pin... If you press a button on the remote do you get any clicking? Also, where did you ground the unit?

There's a plug on the fuse box with three wires in it going up to the dome light. It's the one that shows ground till you lock (not just close) the doors.

I'm trying to program the unit first. It said to get into the program mode I needed to flash the hood pin.

So the steps for that were to

Press and hold the hood pin down for 4 seconds. x     Release the hood pin.
The parking lights will turn ON for 1 second. x     While the parking lights are ON, press the hood pin once more and release immediately.
The parking lights will turn ON and stay ON for 20 seconds. You now have 20 sec. to select a submenu. Note 1: To exit programming mode, close the hood.

So I'm not sure if I hooked up the parking light correctly and it actually is in program mode or that I wired something wrong and it's not going into program mode.

I don't hear it making any noise when I press the hood pin in.

And grounding... I attached it to a bolt that read ground. I wired the White 12 pin - ground when running to the black 5 pin ground. I also attached the blue running when on wire from the express PKALL kit.

I'll look for that connection tonight. I am just not sure when they mean front of fuse box which way is front and which is a ten pin. To test I stripped some and put my red test on the wire and black on ground. I'll re-test it tonight.

What are you using to test the wires? Also, the ground when running wire does not go to ground... I just hope you have not fried your remote starter unit. The ground when running is an output used to control bypasses, relays, etc. The blue wire from the PK-All gets connected to that ground when running output.

To be honest, I would bring it to a professional. Nothing personal, but it doesn't sound like you know a whole lot about what you are doing and I would hate to see you cause irreversible damage to your car and be out a few thousand dollars just to try to save a couple hundred on having it done professionally.

I would prefer to hire someone to do it but I was quoted over $500 for it. I just don`t have that type of money as I`m trying to pay off my student loans and what not. But if I can`t get it done myself, I might just not do it at all.

Do you think I`m 'almost' there? or should I just give up?

Even if you were 99% done, one minor mistake can cost a lot. Whoever quoted you $500 is out of their mind. I couldn't see charging more than $250-$300 for parts and installation on that car. If you were more local to me, I'd do it for the $250 all day long. Its up to you in the end, but a starter is not something you really want to just "give it a whirl" with.

Interesting point Kenny, Vauxhall Vivara van (similar size to F150). Clifford 3.3X RS/Alarm,plus by-pass, 529t and 508d about $700 over here.
Don't forget I pay £156 ($230) dealer COST inc. tax for the unit.
If you sit down I'd quote you some trade prices, having said that like solder which has gone up by 300% in the past 2 years, all the prices have increased recently.
