Using the Avital 3300 and the idatalink DL

My question is that the guide instructs to connect the input from the starter wire to the idatalink and the tach signal.  IS this necessary??? Doesnt really make sense.

Also it asks for a disarm wire from my avital unit to the bypass. I dont have one on this model. any suggestions??

thanks...

The R/S Starter wire is an input to the ADS DL so it can control the starter/acc MUX wire.  The Tach signal is an output from the ADS DL and a
separate connection to the R/S.  Two separate wires / connections.  The dashed line is just a pointer to the note below.

The Disarm input allows you the turn off the Factory alarm without unlocking the doors as some iDatalink modules do.  No Disarm output from
the Avital R/S?  Does the van have the Factory Alarm?   Maybe set the Avital to Unlock before start and split the Unlock to both ADS DL inputs,
Disarm & Unlock.

if you are not doing remote start, then you do not need to connect start, tach, and other remote start related connections
