I'm having trouble deciding on a remote start system. I already have a DB-ALL pre-programmed for my 08 Honda Accord Sedan, but haven't yet purchased the RS. This is my first time installing a RS, but I'm a DIYer and have done other car audio projects.
What would you recommend?
- Must be compatible with the DB-ALL
- Install ease is preferred
- Would like it to be 2-way for confirmation
- Good range is important for me (would like to start from office)
- Door unlock\lock, trunk pop is a plus
- Don't want an alarm
- Budget is < $200
- Small remote preferable. LED or LCD is fine.
I was looking at the Viper 5501 but it looks like nobody really has them in-stock except for refurbs.
Is it possible to do climate control as well with any aftermarket systems? This would be a plus

Although I really like all the Viper RS units I've installed in the past, I'm not sure I would recommend them if this is your first RS install. You will get NO support from Directed as a DIY'er, and the instructions won't make much sense to you if you're unfamiliar with RS units.

I use the Autopage RS-625 remote starters. Reliable and always work for every thing i need. Just did one with the DB-ALL in an 08 Accord a couple weeks ago. everything worked great.

I mainly use Python and Avital products but also like Autopage systems. Autopage is a good, solid unit from my experience with them. As far as the DB-ALL, if using W2W any remote starter can be used with it. Also, if you aren't already aware, the DB-ALL will not control the door locks via either remote with the ignition running. While the remote starter is engaged, you will have to use the key to enter the car. I did a 2010 Accord(same wiring) and wired direct inside the door to make sure locks worked everytime. Otherwise, good luck and enjoy it!!
