XK09
Starter, Ignition, 12V inputs, ground and resister code wires all correct
Not using mux and GWR wires

I suspect my problems is the status and or GWR wires not hooked up, but I'm unsure where they go.

GWR is ground out when running, used to turn on th bypass.  Needs to be hooked into which ever output wire from remote start is ground out when active.  could be status wire

I hooked GWR to the status, but still no luck.

Additional info:
Security flashing on instrument panel
Remote Start can't learn tach
- tried voltage sensor option, but no luck either

Try changing the engine checking mode to OFF. See if that will let it start.

Is the XK09 flashed with the PLXR firmware?
If you are connecting to the Pyhton in the W2W mode, you must connect all the wires shown in the Type 6
Install diagram ( no D2D harness ).
Did the bypass program in accordance with the instructions?  At Step 3 set for Type 6 - two button presses.
You might try a Factory Reset on the XK09 and start the programming over.

The XK09 is flashed with the correct firmware
Python is connected W2W, no D2D cable used
The XK09 programs flawlessly, I have already tried reseting several times
I will try changing engine mode to off and post results, thanks for the input guys

The Passlock2 system cuts off the fuel supply.  If it cranks the engine but doesn't start ( or briefly runs and dies ) & gives the Security light, it might be a Passlock2 issue.

I tried the engine check off and now it attempts to start only once then the instrument panel lights flash every couple seconds.

It might be a Passlock2 issue, any ideas on how to troubleshoot?

Agreed with Kreg, stick the key in the first position in the ignition and try to remote start. If it does, its a passlock issue.

Ok, I put the key in position one and tried to remote start; it attempts to start three times and immediately dies. The only difference with the key inserted is the security message doesn't flash on info screen. Diagnostic code 3 = low rpm.

Just to recap what's going on:
- Everything functions except remote start
- Voltage engine check enabled
- tach learning unsuccessful
    - tried white tach behind instrument panel, but no 1-6 volts
    - tried pin 10 on ECM, no luck

Status Update:

Tach hooked directly to injection coil, tach learned successful

Vehicle continues to immediately die after start attempt

Any ideas on troubleshooting the XK09. It programs just as expected, but how can I tell it's actually working? I would like to post a picture of my setup, can we post pictures on this forum?

The left picture is the XK09 pin 10 to ORANGE / black passlock ground

The right picture are the XK09 Resistor Code Outputs to yellow passlock wire.

Your scotch lock connectors could be the issue... try stripping the wire and make a good wire to wire connection.. then try to relearn the Passlock...

Removed connectors and reprogrammed XK09, no dice.

Not working now! After I got it working I was soldering all the connections to finalize the job and now it's just acting crazy. The RS works without the key, but won't start with the key. Oh, and the RS works with the bypass unplugged...wth! I think as I was soldering the connections I tripped passlock and now it's all screwed up. I can't get a flashing security msg to reset passlock. Disconnected battery for over an hour...no luck. Solid security msg and check engine soon light displayed when attempting to use key. I don't want to even try to drive the truck in fear of screwing up the transmission. Please help!
