Doing an 08 Thundra next week.. Looking at DBALL or the Idata that just does the transponder. Is it worth the extra cash for the DBALL to do locks and everything? How is the DBALL working on this truck? Thanks in advance for your help!!!

I, too, prefer iDatalink bypass modules. The ADS AL-CA with the ADS AL(DL) TL1 firmware has similar functions to the DB-ALL.

The last Tundra I did was a 2007 Quad Cab 5.7 V-8 w/o Factory Alarm. The 2008 should be the same. Used a XK05 with the PKTI firmware.
The bypass connections were at the steering column, it programmed easily and worked flawlessly. The lock wires were in a Blue 17 Pin plug
in the Drivers Kick Panel. The Factory Alarm ( if equipped ) can be disarmed by the keysense wire.

The only odd thing noticed was if the truck was locked with the factory FOB, the unlock would be disabled on the R/S FOB ( and door buttons ).
Once it was remote started the Unlock worked again. The DB-ALL and the ADS AL CA control everything thru the CAN bus so that might not be
an issue.

If you use the Idata Can module, it will allow the factory remotes to still work even when the remote start is on. This works great with any upgrade starters.
