Are Compustar systems D2D connections compatible with DEI Startsmart D2D connections.

I want to hook up a Compustar 600-S(remote starter) to a dsm200(smart start add-On) using the D2D connection for ease of installation. Would this be possible?

This DSM200 is compatible with all Directed Electronics Security, Remote Start and hybrid systems that are Bitwriter™ (3 or 4 pin) compatible. I do not think it will work w/the data port of a Compustar System.

You are correct I confirmed today that Dei and compustar D2D connections are not compatible. So any Dei system has to be w2w with fortin and idatalink bypasses.

Unless you flash the iDatalink bypass module with the DBI firmware ( instead of the ADS firmware ).  Example ADS AL(DL) CH4 firmware on the ADS AL-CA bypass for a CS600-S remote starter vs DBI AL(DL) CH4 for a Viper 5701 unit.

Soldering is fun!
