automatic headlights on honda accord

Planning out my install of a DB-All and Viper 5501 Remote Start on my 2008 Honda Accord Sedan. What connection on the RS is "rearm"???

According to the DB-All install diagram, the Parking Lights (-) at the switch must connect to both the "rearm" connection on the remote start AND the parking light (-) connection on the RS.

So it looks like PARKING LIGHTS (-) is located on the Light Switch Harness (gray wire) and this should connect to H1/11 WHITE PARKING LIGHT OUTPUT on the remote start.

However, I didn't see a "rearm" input on the remote start and according to the note, this connection is required if I use auto headlights (which I do). Where\How would I connect this rearm?

rearm is also known as factory alarm arm.

So is the proper way to accomplish this by wiring up an external relay on Aux1 with the relay connected to DOOR PIN FL? On the program side, I would setup the Aux1 Output type to "Validity" and Aux 1 Linking to "Link to Arm"?

Am I heading down the right path or totally missing what you are saying?

Err, continuing to read lots...seems like you were referring to this as the rearm functionality:

H2/2 LIGHT GREEN / WHITE (-) 200mA FACTORY ALARM ARM OUTPUT

This output pulses every time the remote start shuts down or when the doors are locked with the remote.

Seems like the right trigger. So the DB-All documentation shows the parking light(-) connected directly to the rearm output to deal with the auto headlights.

Does pulsing the door pin do the same thing? Seems like either method would work right?

either method will work. for my own 09 accord, i used the negative parking lights, with a rearm connected to the same wire (diode isolated just incase)

I'm still a little bit fuzzy...

Why would the parking light signal be needed at all as a signal? As I understand it, the parking light(-) output of the RS is activated when the RS is in control and deactivates when it times out (or fails?).

But can't this "H2/2 LIGHT GREEN / WHITE (-) 200mA FACTORY ALARM ARM OUTPUT" wire handle this completely? Here is the description:

"This wire sends a negative pulse every time the remote start shuts down or when
the doors are locked with the remote. This can be used to pulse the arm wire
of the vehicle’s factory anti-theft device. Use a relay to send a (-) or (+) pulse to
the arm wire."

I would just need to hook this up through a relay to the LOCK AND ARM wire right to trigger the headlights to shutoff? When the remote start times out, it would automatically generate a pulse on this wire right?

The autolights come on and off with a negative pulse. The reason the rearm is connected to the parking light wire is to make sure the auto lights don't stay on if the remote starter times out before you get in it, thereby leaving your autolights on with the car off. The remote starter will send a pulse on the rearm wire about 3 seconds after the remote starter shuts off, and that pulse is supposed to shut off the autolights. The last 2010 Accord I did (08-10 are the same), I used the driver door pin for the rearm wire and that also takes care of any retained accessory power. Worked great!!

This says it requires a relay, but did you just hook this directly to the driver door pin? Seems like 200mA would be plenty for the door relay coil...

Yes, you are correct. I'm sorry for not specifying. It is the GREEN / WHITE Factory Alarm Arm output wire. I normally connect the wire direct to the driver door pin wire without a relay.
