I am installing the python 1401 with PKALL bypass modular on a 2002 ford escape and I have a couple of question that Im needing help with

Door Lock, 3 Pin Connector
The door lock/unlock on the escape is a single wire (pink/white) that operates both the lock/unlock. I have connected both the blue (unlock) and the green (lock with 1k resestor) to the single (pink/white) wire as the direction said. The unlock works but not the lock. What did I do wrong?

Remote Start, (H3) 8 Pin Connector
My question is about the gage of the wire on the Escape. I am not finding any wires that are the same gage (on the escape 14/16 gage) for H3/4, 5, 8. Am I able to tie into such small wires? Am correct that the "flex relay" lines I don't need to hook up?

you need two relays for lock and unlock to work

Thanks for the information about the relays. I found the link concerning how to install them on this site as well. Also thanks for the wires codes and locations .

I still trying to make sure that I can concect the larger gage start wire from the remote starter to an small gage wire (Tan/Light Blue) under the dash in the ignition switch harness. OR am I just not finding the correct wire to correct wire (Tan/Light Blue) under the dash.
