Couple weeks ago i purchased a python 413 for my truck, did a little reading and finally dove into it yesterday, and after a little more reading i think im doing some things wrong.
Wiring Harness with the kit are as follows:
- Primary (H1) Harness
Lght Grn/Blk -- (-) 200mA Factory Alarm Disarm
----(no factory alarm, i didnt use)
Grn/Wht -- (-) 200mA Factory ReArm
----(once again no alarm didnt use)
Yellow -- (+) 200mA Ignition Out to alarm
----(no alarm didnt use)
WHITE/ Blue -- (-) Activation input
----(somehow overlooked this, didnt hookup, also not sure where to hookup)
Orange -- (-) 500mA Ground when locked
----(wasnt sure if to use this or not, manual said can be turned off with anti-grind option in programming mode)
RED / White -- (-) 200mA trunk Release output
----(its a truck, therefore no trunk, not hooked up)
Black -- Ground
----(hooked up to a bare metal bolt)
White -- (+/-) Light Flash output
----(not hooked up yet)
- 4 Pin Satellite Harness Diagram
This one had me all sorts of confused, mainly because it seems like they forgot to mention it at any other part of the manual, it describes what all the other wires in all the other harnesses do and a rough idea of where they should go, but nothing on this one here.
Blue -- (-) 200mA Status Output
Orange -- (-) 200mA Accessory Output
Purple -- (-) 200mA Starter Output
Pink -- (-) 200mA Ignition Output
- Heavy Guage relay wiring Diagram
This is another place i think i screwed up.
Pink -- (+) Output to ignition circuit
----(Tapped into RED / light green "Ignition 1" Wire in the ignition switch harness)
Purple -- (+) Output to starter circuit
----(Tapped into Dark green Starter wire in the ignition switch harness)
Orange -- (+) Output to accessory Circuit
----(Tapped into Gray / YELLOW(+) "Accessory 1" Wire in ignition switch harness)
Pink/white -- (+) Programmable output for accessory or ignition
----(not hooked up anywhere, from what I've read it should be hooked to accessory 2, not sure though because i have 2 ignition and 2 accessory wires, but only enough in the harness to have one or the other hooked up)
2 Red - (+) (30A) High Current 12v input
----(i had enough wire to run them straight to a battery, good or bad idea?)
- Door Lock Harness, 3-pin Connector
Blue -- (-) Unlock output
----(not hooked up yet)
Empty Space
----(hooked into the flux capacitor)
Green -- (-) Lock output
----(not hooked up yet)
- Remote start Harness (H2) Wiring Diagram
BLACK/ white -- (-) Neutral saftey switch input
----(the wiring diagram i found first from bulldog security happened to leave out the neutral safety wire, i found a diagram later on that does, not hooked up yet)
Violet/White -- Tach input wire
----(there is a dead ended GREEN / WHITE wire underneath the dash, everywhere i read said to hook the tach in there, so it's hooked up there.)
Brown -- (+) Brake Switch Shutdown Wire
----(Tapped into the light green wire at the brake switch)
Gray -- (-) Hoodpin switch Shutdown Wire
----(not hooked up)
Blue/White (-) 200mA 2nd Status/Rear Defogger output
----(no rear defogger, and no idea where the first status wire went, so not hooked up)
This is where i am right now, Im guessing the "Satellite Harness" and neutral safety and a couple other things are playing a big role into what im doing wrong. This is my first time doing this, im usually pretty good with wiring anything like this, just a little lost here probably due to the vague direction that came with it.
Could someome please read over what i did and give a little input as to what im doing wrong? It would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks

Wiring Harness with the kit are as follows:
WHITE/ Blue -- (-) Activation input
----(somehow overlooked this, didnt hookup, also not sure where to hookup) <--not required. It just simply allows for remote start activation when a ground is applied to the wire. It is sometimes used on a lock wire to allow remote starting from factory remote.
Orange -- (-) 500mA Ground when locked
----(wasnt sure if to use this or not, manual said can be turned off with anti-grind option in programming mode) <-- Not needed unless you are connecting a window roll-up module or want an external LED to light when the truck is locked.
White -- (+/-) Light Flash output
----(not hooked up yet) <--connect to parking light wire in truck and set for proper polarity
- 4 Pin Satellite Harness Diagram

Blue -- (-) 200mA Status Output <-- used mostly for activating bypass modules. It shows a 200ma (-) output during remote start process.
Orange -- (-) 200mA Accessory Output <--Normally not used. Shows a (-) 200ma output when main accessory power is activated.
Purple -- (-) 200mA Starter Output <--Same as accessory but for the starter.
Pink -- (-) 200mA Ignition Output <-- Same as accessory but for the ignition.
- Heavy Guage relay wiring Diagram
This is another place i think i screwed up.
Pink -- (+) Output to ignition circuit
----(Tapped into RED / light green "Ignition 1" Wire in the ignition switch harness)

----(Tapped into Dark green Starter wire in the ignition switch harness)
Orange -- (+) Output to accessory Circuit

----(not hooked up anywhere, from what I've read it should be hooked to accessory 2, not sure though because i have 2 ignition and 2 accessory wires, but only enough in the harness to have one or the other hooked up) <-- This needs to connect to your 2nd ignition. I'm not 100% sure if the 2nd accessory is actually required on that truck for the remote start but if it is you will need to add a relay as follows.
Pin 85 to (-) 200ma accessory output (on 4 pin relay harness) through diode.
Pin 86 to 12v constant (fused)
Pin 87 to Orange accessory wire
Pin 30 to 2nd Accessory wire in truck.
2 Red - (+) (30A) High Current 12v input
----(i had enough wire to run them straight to a battery, good or bad idea?) <-- As long as they are fused at the battery and not just at the starter (in case the wire were to short between the fuses and the battery) then it is not harmful... but it is also not required. The 12v constant signal at the ignition switch is plenty for the remote start.
- Door Lock Harness, 3-pin Connector
Blue -- (-) Unlock output
----(not hooked up yet)
Empty Space
----(hooked into the flux capacitor) <-- Good connection. Make sure you solder it!!! Don't want the wire coming loose at 86mph.
Green -- (-) Lock output
----(not hooked up yet)
- Remote start Harness (H2) Wiring Diagram
BLACK/ white -- (-) Neutral saftey switch input
----(the wiring diagram i found first from bulldog security happened to leave out the neutral safety wire, i found a diagram later on that does, not hooked up yet) <--Connect either to ground or through the activation switch to be able to turn the remote start on/off
Violet/White -- Tach input wire
----(there is a dead ended GREEN / WHITE wire underneath the dash, everywhere i read said to hook the tach in there, so it's hooked up there.) <-- I could be wrong, but I've never heard of that wire before. But if it tests and programs ok for tach then leave it connected. Otherwise you can get the tach at any injector. The injectors will all have one common wire and one odd wire. Connect to the odd colored wire.
Gray -- (-) Hoodpin switch Shutdown Wire
----(not hooked up) <-- Connect this to the factory hood pin if equipped. If not, install the included hood pin. It is a major safety component that will prevent the truck from starting accidentally when someone is under the hood and possibly causing physical harm / injury.
