Does anyone know if I can add a heating element to my existing mirror glass ? If so where can I get the element ?

Look at Burco replacement mirrors. If you can get the existing mirror off the mirror assembly (good luck) than you can add a stick on heat grid behind it then glue the mirror back to the assembly. Than of course running wires into the mirror assembly also. Most likely you will not be able to get the mirror off without breaking it. In that case Burco also makes the heated mirror for the F-150 also.

Thanks I'll look into them most mirrors aren't that hard to get off with out breaking them just need patience do you know where I can get stick on heater grids small enough to fit the glass

Burco should still be selling just the stick on heat pad, that you can attach to the back of most mirrors. I think they still offer them in several different sizes.
