cm6200s with blade tb awesome

Just wanted to say how much I think the new Compustars are amazing... haha. I did a 2006 Sentra yesterday and although I didn't end up needing a bypass in the end, I did a Compustar 6200S (with the basic r/s - keyless remote) with the idatalink Blade TB bypass. Since I didn't know about not needing it until after the prep, I went through the programming and it was by far the best setup I've ever seen.

First of all, the blade TB and Blade AL work for almost every car out there and they both slide and lot directly into the Compustar brain... which makes the installation 15x cleaner (no extra bypass to try to stuff). Second, with the idatalink weblink cable I plugged it directly into the brain with the bypass locked in and not only can I flash the bypass with the firmware, but I can reconfigure settings on the bypass depending on the firmware, and I can reconfigure all of the settings on the actual remote starter right from my computer. So I can set everything I need right during the prep stage and then just program the remotes quick, program the tach, and go right to the testing... no dealing with trying to program it while its in the car.

This is by far the easiest setup I have done thus far (with the exception of the new chrysler setups... which will be even easier). And I can't wait til Compustar comes out with their CM7000 series which are going to make life even easier.

Sorry for the offtopic post, but I am pretty amazed at how easy Compustar and idatalink have made things...

Welcome to my world. Get an op500 programmer and you will never switch. The tb does nothing but the bypass. The al does almost everything depending on the car. Most the time you only have to hook up a few blade wires. Now you can see how it's possible to do 8 in 8 hours.

Yea, with the car it was going to be used on it was only immobilizer anyways... but I will be using the AL next week on a Tahoe... should really be awesome.. lol.

I had my source order me an OP500 so I'll also have a way to program when it is in the car w/out having to bring my laptop out into the garage. I'll hopefully have that within the week. I was always a DEI guy, but Compustar has really stepped up their game! Now I just can't wait for the 7000 to come out with the 2 flex relay outputs. That is the ONLY thing I don't like about it right now... although its just a relay or 2 right now, its one more thing that makes the install look cluttered.

Talked to my supplier (now I'm starting to sound like a damn drug dealer...lol) and they are *expecting (I use that term loosely) the CM7000 to be released this summer. I was hoping to get it sooner than that, but I guess I'll have to wait.
