clifford 650 total closure 1996 bmw 328i

Hello, I want to sort out the total closure on my car.
When they installed it, they asked me if I wanted the windows to go up when I arm the car, which i didn't, and now have a separate button to close the windows. I would like to change this to auto-close now....
      The window closure is accesory C, and activated with a button.
In settings, i've 'auto-activated' accesory C while arming, and this doesn't work.
I've also activated 'total closure' mode which doesn't work either. (I don't understand why as this should give a 20 second pulse to the lock wire, which is exactly how my windows go up with they key)
      If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.

P.S It's a Clifford G5 Concept 650MkII, and I have downloaded the installation manual from this site already.

Go into the dealer programming and make aux C "activate on arm".

Sorry, shouldn't have posted before reading all of your post, if comfort close is selected aux C becomes redundant you could use it for other purposes. There are mods to achieve deadlock on arm (normal lock on ignition) on that vehicle, maybe they haven't done them.
I should know not only did I post those instructions, I helped to write the DEI install guide for the E36 and E46.
Do your windows still have the one shot facility when you raise them with ACC on?

Check their wiring, BROWN / black and WHITE/ black not used, violet and violet/black to either the RED / green front left plug or plain red in loom behind.
GREEN/ black to pin 4, either vacant or WHITE/ red and blue/black to 17 in central yellow or purple quadlock plug (colour depends on year).
To achieve deadlock use a 1N4004 diode from the GREEN/ black to the blue/black, diode band to blue/black.
That's what they should have done.

Hello, thankyou for your reply. I tested the acc-c 'activate on arm' independantly to the 'total closure' setting, and neither worked.
    I'm sorry, but im not familiar with some of the terminology your using....(deadlock for example)
With the acc on, the windows can go up on their own with the one-touch button (I think that's what you asked me), and they go up with the car off using the seperate acc c button on the remote.

   I asked the shop that fit the alarm how to help me rectify this (as im no longer in the country) and they told me to try the acc-c 'activate on arm' setting, and explained how to do it. They also said, that it might not work, and if itdoesn't, its because its not hard wired to auto close, and would need to be moved to an auto-arm output.
Thinking about it... maybe its not on acc C, maybe acc b or a. I will go check.

One less button to operate!
Deadlock is the secondary locking system on your car.
With your widows open, exit the car and turn the key to the lock position and hold it there. After about 1.5 seconds the windows should all raise. Read the vehicle owner's manual.
This will also deadlock the vehicle, i.e. someone breaking a window still can't open a door.

Ok, my car does that, also, if i lock the car (with remote) with the window open, I cant open the door from the inside. (I knew it as 'doublelocked' not deadlocked')

From the shop's response, the windows could well be attached to accessory B or A. I'm going to read the manual again and see if I can attach them to the total closure setting instead of accessory.
I will post back if I have problems...

Another thing, the user-selectable features don't work. Chirp volume, auto lock, auto unlock, auto arm, all chirp to confirm the change in programming mode, but do nothing. Remote learning features all work. Irritating...

Ok im reading and re-reading the manual. There is little info on the total closure. What do I need for that to work? If the doors all lock and unlock and deadlock correctly, shouldn't the total closure feature, once turned on, just work??

Yes so one has to look at the wiring.
Doubt there's much more you can do yourself.

Ok total closure is now working. :-)

Can you go into any more detail on why user features won't work?

You said 'valet switch disconneted or US' which im sorry, i don't understand. Sorry for being a pain, and thanks for your help so far.

The valet switch definatly IS connected, as i can program remotes and change certain things. But most things in column 1 (of programming mode) ,auto lock etc... don't work.

Scrub all that, everythings working now. Only thing left is to wire in the rpm feature and program it.
