I am going to install power door locks in my kids 93 Hyundai Excel. This currently is all manual so I am starting from scratch

So far I have got the actuators, relays and duel relay socket (DLS) from Omegas Research.

I am a bit unclear on the instructions so I am asking you professionals.

The instructions show this:

it says to use this diagram for adding to non-powered system at the bottom of the paragraph

but there is no switch in here, so I assume that I would get a SPDT momentary switch, connect it to ground and then connect the DLS brown wire to one leg and the DLS white wire to the other? so that it will gound when activated one way to lock and one way to unlock?

will this work? so that I do not have power drain all the time.

Please advise

Not at all you should be looking at the DLS connector, 3 wires, I'm guessing one is red, ignore the red, and ground the other two through the momentary switch. Two make this work properly, I wouldn't use this kit but an MES or Spal kit with the blue timer relay, which the DLS isn't with a 5 wire motor in the driver's door, thus when you key the driver's door you lock/unlock the car, a momentary switch can be used but thus isn't needed.

Take a look at this:-lock.bmp
Use a 5 wire actuator in the driver's door only, this gives you the option of key lock/unlock or switch lock/unlock.
The secret is that the device you showed as far as I know is a pair of normal general purpose relays. The brands I mentioned use a dedicated timer relay for locking.

I want to keep it simple, I am only putting in one switch that will lock and unlock both doors, I tested the actuators and they are simply reverse polarity to go either way and rest in the middle, so I think I could do it without the relay and just a DPDT switch, but I would like to use what I have already bought, so to ask again, am I correct with my first post?

You need a 5 pin window i.e. DPCO momentary for the motor wires.

well I got it done and it works, I used the unit I had and just re-poled the legs on the relays to match what is below. So now I have only one switch that will lock and unlock both doors. Let me know if this may possibly cause constant drain on the battery, but I don't think it will

It won't as long as the switch is momentary, by the way the 5 pin window switch I suggested would have been cheaper and much easier to wire than using relays.
