I am trying to install using DBALL, can someone please let me know what wires need to be hooked up to the car. I can look up the location in the wiring diagram.

Also, what is the best way to handle the OEM alarm?

Thank You!

the db-all will handle the factory security. The only connection from the DB-ALL to the vehicle is the Violet / YELLOW from the 14 pin plug goes to the violet wire at the OBDII port. I recommend going w2w between the DB-ALL and the unit. D2D can be unreliable and cause headaches later down the road.

Go here and click on the DB-ALL install guide to give you an exact wire diagram for the install. Make sure to test all wires with a DMM.

Thank You!

Could you please let me know what you mean by DMM?

Also, on that diagram the DB-ALL is providing the Tach data. Can I just ignore that and go straight to the Cluster?

DMM = Digital Multi-Meter

Not only can you just go to the cluster, but you are better off going to the cluster. The tach signals from the DB-ALL's can be very unreliable.

Thanks Again.

You mentioned that w2w would have better reliability. Can you tell me what kinds of problems I would run into?

It seems so convenient to use the d2d option..

I doubt you will have issues using D2D on those two units. If it was a lower end Viper unit I would say to definetly go w2w.

Even with the newer DEI units I've had plenty of unreliable D2D connections. Normally its the additional stuff that has the problems (trunk release, door triggers, etc). W2W takes only a few extra minutes during the preping of the starter and can make your life 100x easier for troubleshooting. To me d2d is just not worth it... but its up to you.

Sorry for all the questions. But is the Hood Pin Input required?

Thank You

Backup battery, tilt sens... Can I put both of these on the same instant trigger input? Do I need to do anything special so as to minimize interference between them?

Thank You

you need to diode isolate them. Put a diode on each one with the band facing towards added module (away from the main brain).

What kind of diode? Will a 1N4001/L work? or is there a preferred one?

Thank You
