doing a remote start on a 2008 impreza tomorrow. Just wanting to make sure the FLCAN unit will work with the right firmware, i guess its TB-SUB would be the one i want??

I only need the transponder bypass I can hardwire the rest and hope the factory security system dosent give problems.

Yes.  It is a multi step process requiring KLON access.  Here is a link to the install guide.   https://www.idatalink.com/common/file/get-install-guide/id/7971    Follow the Type 2 wiring instructions.

You know what download number that would be? Can I flash the box without it being hooked to the car. I just got the USB interface.

Here is a link to the Flashlink WEB site :  https://www.flashlogic.com/solutions-for-vehicle/5341

Click on  KLON in the top center of the screen and LogIn.  It is a multi-step process and, yes, the first firmware download can be done before installation.
