I just installed a Python 4104 in my friends' 2001 Dodge Dakota. Everything works perfectly except the accessories (heater, a/c, radio) until the key is turned to the run position. I followed the wiring diagrams and it is all wired properly (or so I thought). Maybe I missed something? I did not use the pink/black thick gauge wire for the flex relay or the orange "ground when armed" on the main connector.

Any thoughts ideas or facts would be appreciated. No point in having remote start if you can't warm up your car in 20 degree weather.

Thanks

Most likely you did not connect to the second accessory wire in the vehicle. THere should be a BLACK/ orange and a dark green accessory wires in the truck.

In 01 and up dakotas there are 3 ignitions and 2 accessories, You need 2 extra relays because you're not powering the wire that turns on the blower.  I believe the 1 that controls it is a heavy gauge green.

ah ha! I saw the green wire and I assumed I could do just one or the other. Thanks!

Didn't need any extra relays. I just used the same wire to power both accessory wires.

The way you did it is wrong. The factory circuits are separated for a reason. And although you may not have issues now, there is a large possibility of causing damage down the road. You are better off re-doing it correctly and using a relay.
