I have a Pontiac Sunfire 2000 2dr coupe. I came with no power windows or locks. I have rebuilt the entire car added pwr windows and locks and would like to modify the power locks and power windows in this way:
This car comes 2 & 4 door. I have an OEM 2 dr & 4dr power window switch module that fits in the center console.
I would like to use the 4dr switch using the front switches for power windows and the rear switches for power door locks, This switch has a rear door lockout button I'd like to adapt for trunk pop. Is this possible if not why not.
I'd greatly appreciate any info anyone who has knowledge of this can share.
Thanks
this is the switch:

its alot more tricky than it looks on the surface... its one of those things where in my hands, i think i could come up with good solid solution rather than speculating what all is going on inside the switch. but here comes some food for thought.
as for the locks... you need to get the polarity correct hooking the servos to the rear window motor terminals. BUT.... the locks wont work from that switch when the car is off. so sitting in the car with a the doors locked will require a person to manually unlock either door if needed. to remedy this, a seperate "hot" wire may need to be ran. hooking it up will be yet another hurdle. it depends how they get their original power from the switch. if its through a circuit run it wont be as easy as if it were from a jumper wire of sorts. are you gonna have one lock per switch? seems pertty unnessesary.
the lock out gets tricky because that switch affects the front pasenger door also.
you will need to find a way to break the circuit before it goes through the loc out switch and resume that to the front pass door.
you are basically triyng to "remove" the lock out switch from the circuit. the lock out switch would then need to be converted to a momentary. it also needs to be wired through the nuetral saftey switch so you aint popping it accidentally while driving down the road.
you can see how the planning process starts piling on before you ever grab a tool
these are just a few things to consider.
it wont be impossible, but will it be worth it?

It seems for the most part doable. The trunk pop may be a little tricky because the rear window lock out switch is not momentary. You may be able to modify the lock out switch to be momentary but you will need to disassemble it to be sure.
I uploaded a diagram to the following link.
