I have a arrow 2 alarm installed in a car i bought used it didnt come with any remotes when i bought it so i got a remote online but it says in order to program the remote i need to copy the trace cuts on the old remote (which i dont have) or find the control unit coding tag.  I am wondering if any one cold help me to find how i can get the remote programmed.  Thanks

Try this: Page 10 & 11 of the owners guide
Erase the old codes then program new remotes.

Turn on ignition, flick the valet switch 13* times then press button 1. You should hear 2 confirming chirps.
Turn off ign. then on again, flick 14* times then press button 2, etc. etc.
*You should hear chirps after 3 or 4 flicks of that switch.
The other info is completely wrong, it applied to their previous entry model, the Novell.

Okay I tried doing that with out cutting traces and it still does not want to work i get the conformation chirp after the first button but it doesn't work. Anything else I can try??? Thanks for the help

DEI GENUINE replacement remote part no. = 904010.
Is that the part number. I'm asking because the on-line supplier might have sold you the externally similar Novell remote.
Frankly, this unit could be up to 18 years of age, highly unlikely to be working anyway.

yup its the DEI GENUINE part no. 904010 remote.  It came with the DEI instructions.  The alarm sems to be working fine cause it chirps when i try program and the auto arm & lock function works as well.  All the fuses are good.
