I have both a 951 and 1401 installed in two of my cars.

I tried to pair the 2-way remote with my 1401 and it would not work.

Are they incompatible? since the 951 comes with a one way remote, I thought it would work.

Do they use different frequencies?

Would the 951 one way pair with my 1401?

Thanks

Phil

Those are two different systems altogether. Some remotes are interchangeable with other DEI models but not these.

The remote (7152P) for the 1401 is for the 1st Generation LE series of remote starters and is for the Python 1401 and 1601 and some Viper models such as 5101 and 5301.

The 1-way remote (7652P) for the 951 is for the 3rd Generation LC3 series of remote starters and can also be used for models like Python 991, 1091 and some LC3 Viper models too.

Thanks,

After further research, that is the conclusion I came to as well.

Just another reason to get my wife to allow me to upgrade to a new unit!
