climate control system wire

H3/3 --   ORANGE -- ACCESSORY OUTPUT
Connect this wire to the accessory wire that powers the climate control system.

I have 2000 Toyota Avalon XLS ( with the Digital Climate control system) What wire do I connect the Orange wire to in the climate control system? Thank you.

According to this link the 2000 Avalon's accessory circuit is WHITE/ green.

Oh wow, Thank you. I overlooked the "Accessory". That was dumb of me. Thank you again.

Wait, It says that connect to wire the POWERS the climate control system. But this is how my ignition work
"Off" for off(obviously).
"Acc" for radio and 12 volt plugs,
"ON" for radio, climate control,A/C, Multi-info display.
"Start" to start the car.

Should I still connect to the WHITE/ Green wires? I just want to make sure.

Connect a Digital Multi Meter to the WHITE/ Green wire and see what it does in those positions.
Typically, an Accessory wire will drop +12V ( go to zero ) when in the Start position, allowing full battery
power to the starter.

It would help if you mention what you're installing.

Anyway, at the ignition switch on that Avalon, there should be six wires:

2 constant power wires
2 ignition wires
1 accessory wire
1 starter wire.

You need to power up both ignitions or the car won't work right. One of the ignition wires is required just to get the car running at all, and if you don't power up the second one, you'll get all kinds of warning lights and weird stuff going on.

Also, the climate controls on Toyotas are powered up by one of the ignition wires, not accessory.

On your car, the accessory wire powers up the radio, mirrors, and some other non-essential items. I like to leave the accessory wire un-connected to the remote starter so that the radio stays off and doesn't make unnecessary noise for the neighbors, but that's up to you.

So anyway, Ignition 1 and Ignition 2 are both necessary, and your climate controls will come on. Accessory is (in my opinion) optional, and will make the radio come on.

I am installing the python 1401 (Viper 5101). So where do I connect the Orange wire?

The orange wire, if you choose to connect it, goes to your accessory wire from the ignition switch. As kreg posted above, this wire will typically test 12v with the ignition on and drop voltage during cranking. But as Chris mentioned, the climate controls are powered through the ignition circuits so the orange wire connection is not required unless you wish to have the radio, mirrors, and some other non-essential circuits powered up. If you choose not to connect the orange wire, make sure to properly tape it off so it cannot short on any metal.
